Scientists believe we have around 10 years to save the world from a climate catastrophe to keep the Earth from heating above 1.5 degrees Celsius, which is the level scientists believe the globe can take before the damages and affects of global warming become irreversible. Globally, to do this, we need to cut emissions by 45% by 2030, if we have any chance of reaching this goal (Carrington, 2020). These are all developing countries, with widespread poverty and lack of infrastructure to deal with the immediate effects of climate change. Individuals in developing countries rely on the land to make a living and feed their families.
