Climate change is happening right now and has been a known issue for the past 30 years(Revkin, 2018).
Scientists believe we have around 10 years to save the world from a climate catastrophe to keep the Earth from heating above 1.5 degrees Celsius, which is the level scientists believe the globe can take before the damages and affects of global warming become irreversible. Globally, to do this, we need to cut emissions by 45% by 2030, if we have any chance of reaching this goal (Carrington, 2020). Unfortunately, this is not looking likely at this stage.

The whole planet is going to feel the affects of climate change and global warming, but some cities are going to see more extreme changes to their weather conditions and livelihood.
This info-graphic below shows the five countries which have been most affected by climate change in the 21st century and will continue to be negatively affected (''Countries Most Affected by Climate Change'', 2020).
Notice anything about these countries?
These are all developing countries, with widespread poverty and lack of infrastructure to deal with the immediate effects of climate change. Individuals in developing countries rely on the land to make a living and feed their families. If this is taking away from them they are particularly vulnerable to increased risk of starvation, illness and death.
