If platforms like tik tok and youtube continue to be abused by society, relationships and every day communication will become weaker. I believe using the internet to help wind down or relax is a positive of the internet however, abusing the internet during socializing events creates bad relationships.

The internet is a dark place when it comes to cyber bullying. In the image we see a kid that is getting negative comments from other people on the internet. During my research the author of “The Effects of The Internet On Society” believed that less empathy can be a factor from over use of the internet and social media. The more and more someone uses internet technologies the more likely they are to be told a negative comment by someone else on the internet. When someone is cyber bullied they become less empathetic for others. When people are less empathetic towards others, relationships in society are weakened.

The internet can be extremely helpful but also dangerous. Although, the internet can create more harm in society from cyber bullying, or how bad relationships can form from abusing the amount of time people spend on the internet however, the internet has a more positive impact on society. Using the internet to communicate with others around the world, or using the internet to discover new information can make society more connected. If society uses the internet in a safe positive way, people will be united as one.
