From my understanding of why he is a lot more rich than the rest of the Logans is because he lives on the northern areas of the U.S.A where black people are treated better. Is the secret antagonist of the story because he was cheating on a test and Mrs. Logan was about to see the cheat notes so he passed them to Stacy Logan at the last second and Mrs. Logan thought is was Stacy and whipped him. T.J. ran to the Wallace store and Stacy followed. (Pg 80 & 81) Later he was caught cheating and ran to the Wallace store (probably told the Wallaces somthing about Mrs. Logan) 1 day later Mrs. Logan was fired by Mr. Granger who new the Wallaces and helped them a lot. (Pg 173 174 175 176) Later that day The Logan's and T.J's friendship was severed then T.J said he had wight friends (Probably Wallaces) I think later he and the Wallaces will burn there land based on the front cover.
