We talk a lot about teachers and principals and not enough about non-certified staff (bus drivers, child nutrition, hr and finance professionals, etc.). They also impact students and need to be appreciated.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Here is another document to review about chronic absenteeism.</p><p><a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://leo.gradelevelreading.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/2.18.25-GLR-LT-Scorecard-Attendacne-.pptx.pdf">2.18.25 GLR LT Scorecard &amp; Attendance .pptx</a></p><p><br/></p><p>Why I am passionate about this is because I have recognized that without students attending the school day, they are not able to take advantage of the other initiatives we fund such as high dosage tutoring, after school programs and all the work focused on improving instruction. We also cannot reach higher levels of student achievement without a focused strategy on this issue.</p><p><br/></p><p>Another state with a statewide initiative is Connecticut. I do not have materials from that state at this time.</p>]]></description>
