After all, she is still a teenager, and wants some help surviving. She does not want Max to be dead because then she would be alone, and would most likely die. Max might be in a coma which is terrifying. If I were in her situation, I would most likely not push Max off the raft. I would keep him on, because if I did push him off, then the guilt of the situation would kill me. I would throw myself to the tiger sharks, and hope that someone would find Max and get him out of his coma.
