         <description><![CDATA[<div>How to make the thermometer more sensitive:<br><br><br>You could increase the volume of bulb, so that when you heat the thermometer, more liquid will rise and get a greater reading.&nbsp;<br><br>The second way is to decrease the diameter of the tube, because there is less volume to fill so there will be a larger rise which will cause a greater reading.<br><br>The third way is to use alcohol instead of mercury because alcohol expands more when compared to mercury.<br><br>How to make the thermometer show a wider range:<br><br>The first way is to decrease the volume of bulb.<br><br>The second is to increase the diameter of the tube.<br><br>And the third is to use mercury instead of alcohol.<br><br>How to make the thermometer show better linearity:<br><br>Make sure that the diameter of the tube is uniform.<br><br>The second is to use mercury instead of alcohol for more uniform expansion.&nbsp;<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
