I used the mannequin as I wanted this to be a unique, unrealistic image. I feel I captured the unrealistic effect by using my model's hand to place a cigarette in the mannequin's mouth, this also doubled as an anti-smoking advert I created. I really love the colours in this image, they are very light and pastel which is very different from the bold colours I am used to. The location of this shoot was an open, bright field. I like in this photo how the model is off centre, as it also captures the landscape.I used the bright sunlight to my advantage and used a reflector. The reflector helped to give a warm look to my photographs as I used the Golden side of it. I wanted this photo shoot to have a ‘calm, easy’ feel to it and I definitely achieved that. As well as it being my first Fashion shoot, it was also my first time shooting with somebody I did not know. I made sure to make the model as comfortable as possible and let her pitch her own ideas into the shoot. This was used in the science departments around college. I used a lot of studio light against a white backdrop, whilst also using a light table to place the equipment on. I used a blue liquid in the pipette because I knew it would stand out really well against the bright background and lighting. I take a wide interest in most genres of Photography but I have always really enjoyed shooting landscapes/architectural images. It is similar to the architectural image before this. I edited this photo into black and white as I wanted the shadows in this image to be distinctive, in photoshop I altered the brightness and contrast in this image to get the darkness in the image in the right places, like the bottom left building. I feel the negative space works well within this image as it makes the main building stand out.

This shoot is the most successful, in terms of lighting, styling, angles and editing. This particular image was inspired by ‘A Portrait of Johnny McMullin’ by George Hoyningen-Huene. I admire the grunge vibe this particular image gives off, via the facial expression, shadow, and the cigarette. I placed the lighting on the left side to create a harsh shadow on the right side of the model's face. This image was mainly focused on the styling which I did, I wanted the model to represent 90’s fashion, so we went with a band t shirt and baggy jeans with many different pieces of jewellery. This was another shoot where I did not know the person I was shooting with, so it was my job to make them as comfortable as possible, we both prepared mood boards for this photoshoot with different props, poses and angles to ensure this shoot was successful. I set the products up outside on the grass and used a spray bottle with water and sprayed the products and the grass to give the photographs a ‘fresh’ look. I was really happy with how this photoshoot turned out in the end, even though I took these on a bright day. I edited them to look a bit darker but I added high saturation so the colour was still there and the water droplets could really be seen. For this shoot, I spoke to strangers on the street and explained that I was a college student shooting for a project and if they wanted a portrait taken with their mask on. At first it was difficult to approach people but after a while it became easier. This image captures amazing colours and texture, and shows a great deal of detail on the man. For the set up of this image I was in a studio with a plain white background with a projector set up. I was projecting a ‘computer code’ photograph on top of the model's face. The aim of this image was to not see the models face and only see the outline of their body. To edit this image I used a glitch effect via Photoshop by using layering, desaturating, merging and various other tools. I once again used a plain white background and placed the equipment on the light table and used a lot of harsh, bright lighting. To really make this image stand out I made sure to use bright liquids in the various beakers and scattered them on the table. In Photoshop I created an overlay which gives the image a ‘vintage’ feel to it. I had high exposure and brightness for this image too. For this image I used coloured gels which I slid on top of the lighting to project it onto the model. I think this ended up looking great as the clothes look dark and it contrasts against the bright colour and it also creates a harsh shadow. I feel the angle of which this photograph is taken works great too, as the model is central but his body is facing away from the camera.
