Module 1 - Why Maths is so unpopular?

The funny thing is that I hated Maths when I was a secondary student. Nine years ago I was forced to teach it due to lack of Maths teachers in my school...and I found it wonderful! I love teaching Maths to children: they learn how to use logic, to organize their raisoning, to be neat and clear. Of course, this is not always simple, that's why I've been always looking for activities which allow me to gamifying Maths. It works, especially visual and kinetic activities: we just need some open space and fantasy.....for instance to play "capture the flag" and ask multiplication tables to get a point! Usually my pupils love maths, as they love playing!
Another trick is using every situation it occurr in childrenlife to create a problem to solve in mathematical terms and help children to formalize them using symbols and procedures.

I have no problem in using auch resources in class, even though I can have often troubles with the internet connection, so I've been always looking for offline activities. Children love them, so I ask them to play at home, giving them the links and the resources. Parents are usually collaborative and appreciate this kind of homework too.
some children don't love playing in a hurry or get anxious, so I try finding games in which they can work without time score, with plenty of time to finish the activity.

I think that the teacher has to be an important referee for the students, even though not the only one: no technological tool or approach should not replace a human being in person, everything has to be integrated.
