In this picture you can see that it looks like Riley is floating, and the shutter speed is just right to catch him, but it was a little dark so I lightened it.

In this picture you can see there is too much light coming in and the shutter speed is too slow, you can see a little bit of the figure but not much.

In each photo where the the shutter speed is changed, you can see less light coming in, and the image begins to become more clear. You would want to use shutter speed as a priority because it can change the whole mood of a picture.
