1) We can make an advertising video that targets the audience of teenagers, letting them know about connection between heart disease and drugs like cocaine and cigarettes. Because they are the upcoming generation for the future, it is significant to educate them(us) about effect of drugs to heart disease that can be serious.

2) I do not know anyone around me who has heart disease, but I believe it would be difficult to have often shortness of breath or fatigue because the heart cannot function fully. As someone who like outside activities, it would be hard to not be able to enjoy all movements fully.

We can increase awareness of heart disease and its causes through campaigns (social media, educational campaigns, school programs, etc). Any type of event that can reach a wide audience would be effective, especially if they were targetted to specific demographics at higher risk of heart disease, such as the elderly, someone in a family with a history of heart disease, or someone with medical conditions.

No, I don't know anyone with heart disease. However, I think that trying to live life normally again would be hard. Small things, such as wanting to eat certain foods or wanting to play a small game that involves physcial exercise may no longer be possible anymore because of a heart condition. I also think that it would be hard for someone to wonder or be anxious about the heart disease worsening or if they could possibly lose a loved one any day.

I think it is especially important to include statistics when discussing heart conditions due to how common it is. We should also incorporate more education on heart health in health classes and make sure students understand how the heart works.

Yes, one of my close friends had heart surgery this year.

It was emotionally difficult to be close to someone who has an issue with something so vital to their health and well-being. They had a lot of fears about their surgery and it was a challenge to keep spirits high. Not having a full understanding of heart disease made my friend's condition seem more intimidating. After her surgery, we still have to be mindful of her heart when we plan activities that might put a strain on it such as going to school dances or activities requiring exercise.

Q1. How can we increase awareness about heart disease and its causes?

A1: I believe we should more aggressively push for the need for healthy diets and life habits at school. Heart disease is an extremely potent issue that has an overarching impact on your health, but it is one that can be significantly mitigated with specific lifestyles. This way, we would be actively seeking to prevent heart issues from rising rather than trying to combat a "ship that has already begun to sink."

Q2. Do you know a friend or family member that had/has heart disease? What was the hardest part about it?

A2: My father and maternal grandfather suffer from high blood pressure, but my grandpa is especially affected as he had suffered angina when I was in elementary school. While modern medication allows him to continue living a happy life, I have become ever more paranoid about his limited time with me, knowing that his heart would only grow weaker over time. In this sense, it wasn't the heart disease that gave me the most emotional trouble but the understanding that the symptoms would only become more severe as Grandpa was forced to take an increasingly higher amount of medication.

We can raise campaigns, as well as spread awareness, even through social media to prevent people of heart diseases. For example, there are many ways to help precent heart diseases. and one of them is to keep a healthy and well diet. It may seem a little too simple to even have any affect towards a deadly heart disease, but it is true.

I personally don't know a family member that had a heart disease, but I know that a friend of mine's grandfather passed away due to this heart disease. He told me that it was due to unhealthy habits such as smoking and drinking increasing the ultimate risks to heart diseases.

For my friend, the hardest part about having a heart disease was the uncomfortability that comes along with breathing as well as excessive coughing and wheezing.

1. We can organize community health fairs to help people can learn about the causes, symptoms, and prevention strategies to increase awareness about heart disease. These can create campaigns that highlight the importance of regular check-ups, healthy lifestyle choices, and early prevention of heart disease and share important information regarding its symptoms led by professionals.

2. I don't personally know someone with heart disease, but I can imagine that it would be very challenging for both parties. One of the hardest parts, in my opinion, would be the emotional limitations and lifestyle changes that come with managing the condition. Seeing a loved one change so much in such little time, seeing them take medication every day, and seeing their condition rapidly deteriorate could take a toll on me. Especially if their survival is not ensured.

Shocking statistics such as cardiovascular disease being the leading cause of death in the US can be employed to urge people to adopt healthier lifestyles. Additionally, proactive measures like dispatching paramedics or doctors to educate teenagers about the detrimental effects of tobacco on heart health can safeguard the younger generation.

2. While I personally haven't had any family members diagnosed with heart disease, a close friend of mine shared their experience of having a parent who has battled heart disease for years and suffered a stroke while traveling in France.

1. There are a number of ways to raise awareness of heart disease and its causes, such as through digital platforms spreading knowledge, community outreach initiatives, and education campaigns. In order to create teaching materials that highlight the risk factors for heart disease—such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, obesity, diabetes, and a sedentary lifestyle—health organizations, medical experts, and community leaders can work together. To reach a large audience, these materials can be provided through community centers, companies, schools, and hospitals. Enhancing public knowledge about heart disease and its prevention can also be accomplished by utilizing digital and social media platforms to share educational materials, support healthy lifestyle choices, and push for regular physical examinations.

2. As someone who does not have a friend or family member with heart disease, I can imagine that the hardest part about it would be the emotional toll and uncertainty that comes with having a loved one diagnosed with such a serious condition. Witnessing a family member or friend struggle with heart disease would likely evoke feelings of fear, helplessness, and sadness, especially if it affects their quality of life or requires extensive medical treatment.

Many students are pressured by peers and family to do so many extracurriculars and take difficult classes, leaving almost no time for play or relaxation. The working world as well, especially in many East Asian countries such as Japan and Korea, have extremely high expectations of workers that leave many of them sleep deprived and yearning for a time to simply exist and not feel pressure to do anything.

I am not acquainted with anyone with heart disease, however, if I did, I believe the hardest part would be seeing them in a blue mood then trying to help them out of that sadness.

1) We can increase our awareness about heart disease and its causes through talking about the details in everyday conversations. While talking it is important to sound credible, because if I sounded unreliable and unknowledgeable, people might not take what I am saying as seriously as I mean it. Additionally, forming lesson plans to teach students about heart disease would be helpful. For instance, I still clearly remember the emphasis on D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) in my fifth grade. Although that sort of education may not convince everyone to never try drugs, it certainly informed more people, such as myself, the harms of drugs. Having education on heart diseases and its causes will help increase awareness.

2) I do not know anyone who had heart disease, but undoubtedly there are many challenges that would be difficult with having a heart disease. It would be difficult to change lifestyle, including diet, daily routines, doctor visits, and more. Paying for the medical costs may put more pressure on the individual, as if having a disease isn't stressful enough. Communicating with worried loved ones and trying to put on a strong persona may also be mentally draining. And of course, experiencing the symptoms of having a heart disease is painful and tiring enough.

We can raise awareness about heart disease and it causes by supporting people at risk of heart disease or even just educating people before they are at risk. We can do this by encouraging people to have a healthier life by exercising or eating a healthier diet. But especially to quit smoking or using e-cigarettes and consuming too much alcohol. Young people like teenagers and children should be the ones to be educated the most with programs or online lessons since learning about heart disease and how to prevent it at an early age benefits them later on in life much more effectively than learning it as an adult.

No, I do not have a family or friend that has a heart disease. I think the hardest part of having a heart disease is just living your entire life with it. Every day and every hour people with heart disease have to suffer with the difficulty of just living life and doing activities like walking, running, and exercising.

We can increase awareness about heart disease by putting up posters and hosting activities at school perhaps during lunch in which students can openly participate and learn about it. An example of a poster would be an infographic of how many Americans are diagnosed with heart-related disease each year. In a school curriculum (like D.A.R.E.), information about how e-cigarettes lead to heart diseases as well as lung disease might also help spread awareness about heart disease.

My grandmother has diabete, and as she regulates her diet and exercise, I've witnessed her paying attention to her blood pressure.

1. We can increase awareness about heart disease and its causes by educating people, especially kids and teenagers, about it. Rather than promoting healthy lifestyle as just a healthy lifestyle, it should be emphasized that many things, including heart diseases, can be prevented. There could also be sessions by a club that inform people about heart diseases, its causes, and what can be done to prevent it.

2. I don't know anyone with heart disease, but I think the hardest part would be the constant anxiety of what could happen to the affected person, especially if there was an incident where the person got very sick. Also, I think that the physical effects of heart disease would really limit what the person could do, at least physically.

1. Schools and communities can organize health fairs or workshops where doctors and health professionals give education regarding how important it is to keep our hearts healthy. It would be useful to remember that the education system does not have to be limited to academic material.

2. I think one reason why it could be difficult would be because it would be difficult to enjoy the positive aspects of life when they are constantly being reminded that they are living with a disease.

1. How can we increase awareness about heart disease and its causes?

Increasing awareness about heart disease is essential. If an individual lacks a measure of diet, habit, and fitness in their life, it could indicate the presence of heart disease. Using 'life-threatening' propaganda alone may not be sufficient to encourage individuals to prioritize their health. Perhaps a permanent health app could send notifications and reminders about an individual's personal statistics, comparing them to the national average. That itself may stimulate a wake-up call.

3. What was the hardest part about it? If you don’t know someone, what do you believe would be difficult?

Generally, everyone understands that there is a cost to an easy lifestyle. Individuals often don't realize the cost until it evolves into a critical problem. People often take life for granted, making it difficult to imagine that they may be facing mortality even with a diagnosis of heart disease. Initiating and adhering to a program may be particularly challenging for individuals dealing with heart disease.
