         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Shuttle program would show that the US was still conducting space testing but from a safe environment. The shuttle program would also bring the ability to conduct large experiments due to the crew size and space in the shuttle. The shuttle would also be able to drop of many satellites into orbit due to its large cargo bay in the mid section. The shuttle program would also take part in constructing the ISS. </p>]]></description>

         <title>April 26, 1986 - Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Chernobyl disaster was the explosion of a Nuclear power plant in modern day Ukraine and caused the surrounding area to be completely irradiated and uninhabitable to the modern day. The radiation would reach as far as nuclear plants in Sweden setting off radiation alarms in most of them. The disaster would kill 30 directly and also being estimated to cause 9,000 short tern cancer deaths and a estimated soon to be 100,000 long term cancer patients deaths. The disaster would displace over a hundred thousand people due to the new 30km exclusion zone. On April 28, 1986 the Chernobyl Disaster would be publicized on mass around the world.    </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>With the fall of the Berlin wall it would Symbolize the collapse of the Communist system all across Eastern Europe. With the fall of the wall loads of refugees started flooding across the boarder of East and West Berlin to get new lives in the prosperous west. The Fall of the Berlin wall would also show the Capitalist supremacy as a successful system and the rise of capitalism and democracy across Eastern Europe. It would also be the first major step towards German Unification.  </p>]]></description>
