  Students, especially those with learning difficulties, need to be explicitly taught specific study skills strategies as well as when, where, and how to use them. 2. Guided Practice- This is described as providing ample opportunities for students to practice the strategy, and making sure to offer guidance and feedback to students.
3. Independent Practice-  This is described as allowing students to use the strategy independently and continue to monitor their performance, and provide feedback to the student.
4. Self-Regulation Strategies-  This allows teachers to encourage students to be self-directed in their learning by  teaching them to use strategies such as the self-monitoring and goal settings.
5.
