Not only would this interfere with some of the historical and spiritual landmarks of the tribe but pollute nearby rivers and lakes, killing off the nearby species of plants and animals. One lake in particular it is putting at risk is Lake Ohae, which is sacred to the native American tribes that live on the reservation. Why would this be a problem? The problem is that this land belongs to them and belongs to their ancestors. This land is sacred to their tribe and we are totally disregarding the values of their culture. So why would these people not go down without a fight. If the native Americans wanted to construct a big project in the middle of Washington, DC there would be absolutely no argument because it would get shut down immediately because that is a historic part of our country.
