It also challenges Goodwin's theory of Star Image as the artist is never present within the video.

The fact that the dad still can't start the car engine at the end shows the audience that nothing has really changed in reality.
An amplifying relationship between the lyrics and visual is seen as the character literally rises from his bed along with the drawn out word "high".
Echoing is used when the mother character places her hands over his eyes which helps the audience to form links within the narrative.
