The two main characters are Amy, and Nick, though there are multiple characters that help to convey the story. The book is mainly about a woman named Amy and her husband nick, they have marital problems and both are fairly unhappy with each other. one day in the perspective of nick and the town in which they live Amy has gone missing, gone without a trace, however due to evidences found during Amy's investigation, the town is left to believe nick is responsible for her disappearance, but actually he is innocent. from Amy's perspective because she is so unhappy she decides to fake her death. she plants evidence and concoct a elaborate plan to make it seem like nick is responsible. In my opinion between the characters, and the plot the book all together was perfect for me, and i loved the book. However the book can be confusing at points, because of large amounts of imagery. The book can go from interesting action and dialogue, then jump to the description and backstory of something the character saw in that moment for a whole page, and it usually isn't even relevant. I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves a dramatic, bone chilling action novel. Aside from anyone younger than high school level, i'd recommend it for anyone.  I'm an extreme fan of you're book, Gone girl. I have read it multiple times, and seem to get a deeper understanding of the characters and the situations as i read on. I think you're book had to have been the best ive read ever! i love everything about it. some try to choose a character they can relate to, to decide which is their favorite character but i find both characters so interesting, and crazy. It would be way to hard to make a decision on which is my favorite. i love amy's character, because of how smart she is. i don't think any villain in any book or movie can come up with such a well thought out plan, and have it work in their favor throughout the ENTIRE book. Each decision she made, every step she took was incredibly smart. and Nick though everyone would disagree, is one of my favorites because i can relate to some of his mistakes.
