         <description><![CDATA[<div>Brandon&nbsp;<br>Item: Pair of Flintlock Pistols&nbsp;<br>how was the items produced:<br>These were made by La Roche and Jean Baptiste with materials that include&nbsp; Carved walnut, blued steel, chased gold and silver, silver inlay. this was made for Louis XV king of France (1715-74) The pistols were also inscribed with&nbsp; Cypher and coat of arms for Louis XV &nbsp;<br>what does it Reveal about the socio-political culture of of the time?:<br>What this reveals is that even know guns and pistols are beginning to to come into age and being made elite and well designed for the higher status of people due to such items such as gold inlays and markings on then pistols. They also became a symbol for power and were often as these pistols were sometimes designed with out the intention of being used.</div>]]></description>
