         <description><![CDATA[<div>monócitos&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Função: Os monocitos têm a função principal de defenderem o organismo de corpos estranhos como bactérias ou vírus, mas também removem células mortas, senescentes ou alteradas do nosso corpo, removem partículas estranhas, e destroem células tumorais, entre outras funções. Os monócitos desenvolvem-se a partir da medula óssea, circulam na corrente sanguínea por poucos dias e finalmente deslocam-se para os tecidos onde são denominados macrófagos, responsáveis pela proteção dos tecidos.</div>]]></description>
