In chapter 4-5 Lisa wants to help her brother blowing up a building, their school has turned into a concentration camp and they are confused, Stefan tells lisa that her task is to hand out newspapers/leaflets from France and London to let people know whats happening, on the friday she goes to the laundry place and gets the bag to her house, she throws up on a soldiers and almost got caught, she was able to get home and was safe

Greetings Abby, I would like to have your advice on something I’ve been hiding for a while. I’m a 14 year old jewish girl living in Denmark. It wouldn’t be something complicated to think about except the fact that the nazis have invaded and killing jews. My family and I have been very worried because we are jewish. I can’t get the newspapers because the Germans took over it and it is unfortunate.

I’m getting pretty concerned right now. The Germans have invaded and it’s causing stress for my family and I. I have helped Stefan with some tasks he needs me to do, though I overheard Father and Mother’s conversation about Jews getting killed by a machine gun and it’s quite scary. Even my school has turned into a concentration camp with starving jews and scary German soldiers. I’m quite young to be honest, all this started when I was 12 and at first I was confused but it's adding all up now, slower and slower I am understanding and it's devastating to think about the fact that I’ll die just because of beliefs.

So far, I have done quite a bit. I have passed out the illegal newspapers around Denmark but I feel so embarrassed knowing I threw up on a soldier…I was successful though even if my brother laughed at me I still did it. I also told my Dad it’d be a good idea to give the soldiers poison and play it cool, so they could die without anyone knowing.  I feel like a villain though, sure the nazis have invaded but I never really had the idea of killing someone, it's quite creepy. I have done my part to help, I told my Dad a bit of advice to help, but should he inject the poison in the nazis, it would be a good idea except we could be caught, or we could just mistreat them which could also get us caught. What should I do?

In chapter 7 Lisa and Stefan come home to hear a baby cry, they open the door and her Dad is holding a baby orphan, her name is Sarah and her parents were jews that died from the Nazis. When they go to sleep they hear a big explosion. Few minutes later Susanne shows up to their apartment with blisters, barely any hair and in pain. Lisa’s father wraps her up in a blanket, Stefan and her father take her to the hospital

During the explosion, Susanne was the only person in her family to escape, unfortunately her parents passed away. Her motivation for helping the resistance bombing is to get “revenge” on the Nazis for killing her parents

During Lisa’s 15th birthday, Jesper took Lisa out to a theatre and they saw a comedian do a joke that almost got him killed. In the real world if you were to say a joke that is offensive, you could be popular on the internet

One part I relate to is when Lisa gets frustrated at Eric for not going/moving because when my Mom wants me to pack for a road trip, I don’t always want to and I become really lazy

3. Chapter Summative

In this chapter, Lisa goes to Eric’s Grandparents house, she sees eric there unexpectedly and tells him to get read because they’re going to hide somewhere, she sees Hanne (eric’s Grandmother) sees Lisa and starts to say how big she is now and Lisa tries to tell her to come with Eric and Lisa, She denies at first but then she takes off her apron and goes with them to one of hanne’s friend. As this happens, Lisa realizes that Hanne isn’t scared of the Germans, She tells Eric to start packing but he refuses, She gets frustrated and Karl (Eric’s Grandfather) convinces him to go. They go to the station and Lisa sees a group of German Soldiers. They start talking about how they beat a Dane to death and she got frightened by what they were saying. After Lisa and Eric got off the train, one of the germans grabbed Lisa by her arm but she was able to escape.

3. Chapter summative

It’s been 2 days and no ones really talks, if this goes on much longer they would become psychiatric patients. The raid started Friday night and the Germans thought they have captured everyone and decided to celebrate the New Year. Lisa’s father injects little kids and toddlers medicine that will calm them down. Lisa and everyone else makes a plan to get everyone off of Denmark and get to Sweden. They make a plan and Lisa, Stefan and Erik go another way, Lisa’s Mother and Father go onto one of the first boats while Lisa, Stefan and Erik stay back. They find a house near the water and start planning on what they should do
