Some lizards may be able to blend into their environment, when they sense predators around, depending on their skin color. For example, grey/brown colored lizards have the ability to camouflage against a tree branch. Thus, predators have a less chance of noticing them. This behavior that lizards instinctively acquire leads them to have a strong fitness by increasing their survival and reproduction chances.

Social behavior among all species are beneficial in a numerous of ways. Social behavior most definitely increases the individuals ' fitness within a group. When organisms become socially interactive with each other, they can find a potential mate to reproduce their kind, through communication. However, on a more broad point of view, through all organisms, communication is key. Whether the communicating is through songs, vocals, roars, etc., it increases the ability to survive. For humans, it's based on a more psychological view. Humans are socially dependent organisms, so we have the need to communicate with others.
