We had a great connection and bond with one another. He always believed in me and motivated me to do the best I can. I always looked forward for his class. The way he did things in class,I like because he gave us the option on what and how we want to do things. We often played "school" at home where I was always the teacher since I was about 1-2 years older. I enjoyed teaching them something like the different shapes and how many sides they had. UIC Engage was an organization that helped tutor students from 1st-8th grade all around different neighborhoods. I joined UIC Engage as a volunteer for about two years. I attended this program until I graduated 8th grade. In this program they taught me a lot and always pushed me to focus on my studies and making sure I got good grades. I had this one volunteer who always helped me and one day he got me a book to read.
