"Fayol recognized that management is fundamentally a process involving people. He saw that work could be managed more efficiently and smoothly by supporting the workers doing the tasks"(Learning unit 1, n.d.). this piece of evidence from module 1 was very interesting to me because it highlights the early days of management and how it was done and even though it does seem a bit obvious in the role of management but it sticks out to me as a reminder that sometimes you need to slow down and refer back to the basics in order to get to where you want.

I included this image to further conclude on Fayol's business management theories.

This cartoon stands out to me in relation to this module because it represents a reminder that there will be people who do and don't like you as a manager or being in that management role, but you just need to stay true to yourself, always be open to ideas but also know the difference between a good person and being a good manager and don't let one overweigh the other. Within Module 1, it is displayed plenty of times of the key things to obtain when being in management and highlights what it is to having good management but also shows incite on how to be a better person and a better manager which is what sticks out to me for future reference.

Adding on, Since employees with similar activities
respond to a functional leader having relevant experience, span of influence is also easier to regulate in a functional structure"(quoted from my submission to module 5 case study). writing about a functional structure taught me a lot and sparked more aspirations and wisdom for me and my future for when i open my businesses. this assignment gave me the opportunity to write in my own aspect and terms on my opinion and what i would do being in these scenarios which i take important from this module.

this image provided shows a in depth chart of a functional structure within a business. i chose to provide this photo because it provides a perfect example of a functional structure and gives readers a more visual example of what inspired and caught my eye to go in depth on my opinion on this structure.

"Motivation is the collection of factors that affect what people choose to do, and how much time and effort they put into doing it. This piece of information obtained from the module 7 reading highlights the meaning behind motivation and the different aspects of motivation in regards to intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. i found this very critical to know in my learning to know due to the fact that it's always good to know and be able to tell apart the difference in motivation and whether something is extrinsic (external or outside sources for motivation) or intrinsic (motivation existing within a person).

This cartoon uses comedy to convey a serious message: something is not always "intrinsic" just because it is consumed. Real process and production process are often seen as focal points in efficiency, but monetary concerns and market value are also very important" (Learning unit 8, n.d.). In addition, The use for this citation which comes from the module 8 reading is that it represents how controllers are becoming more and more important as strategic partners that help close the gap between finance and operations. Businesses are unable to continue choosing one advantage over each other in an increasingly competitive marketplace because both financial savvy and operational efficiency are essential for success.

Despite its humor, this animation serves as an important reminder that controllers need to be more than just spreadsheet experts.

"PDCA (plan‑do‑check‑act or plan‑do‑check‑adjust) is a four‑step management method used in business to control and continuously improve processes and products. It is also known as the Deming circle/cycle/wheel, Shewhart cycle, control circle/cycle, or plan‑do‑study‑act (PDSA)" (Learning unit 8, n.d.). Furthermore, reading through module 8 and coming across the PDCA was very mind-catching in my opinion. This highlights that improvement is a never-ending process, and each phase leads into the next. Took me in for a loop for sure reading upon the PDCA and it's role and function regarding business and management.

This graphic serves as a succinct yet effective illustration of the PDCA cycle's critical role in contemporary management and business. PDCA is the foundation of successful and long-lasting company operations because it enables employees to work more intelligently rather than harder, whether they are controlling quality, increasing productivity, or addressing problems.
