• Use our knowledge of phonics and spelling strategies when spelling familiar and unfamiliar words.

• Spell most vocabulary used across the curriculum correctly.

• Write independently punctuating most sentences accurately using a capital letter and a full stop.

• Link sentences using common conjunctions and, because and but.

• Create a variety of texts for different purposes.

• Listen and respond appropriately to others in a respectful way, for example, by nodding or agreeing, asking and answering questions.
  

• Count forwards and backwards in 1s starting from any given number within 0-100.

• Count forward and backward in 10s starting from different decade numbers within 0-100.

• Partition a number into tens and ones and describe the value of each digit within the range 0-100 e.g. 37 = 3 tens and 7 ones.

• Say the number after, before and in-between a given number within the range 0-100.

• Confidently describe visual quantities within 10.

• Develop automaticity of addition

  bonds to 5 then 10.

In Maths we will:

• Name and identify a range of 2D shapes.

• Describe their properties as number of sides and corners.

• Name and identify a range of 3D objects.

• Classify 3D objects using different criteria e.g. number of faces, ability to roll.

• Make a prediction about a situation using the vocabulary certain or not certain.

In hockey we will:

• Show awareness of body parts and body positions when performing a range of different movements. 

• Maintain control of the ball to dribble successfully.

• Perform a push pass and stop the ball when receiving a pass.

In badminton we will:

• Hold the racquet correctly.

• Hit the shuttle to a target.

• Have some control over the direction of our shots.

• Use simple vocabulary and badminton specific terms. 

In netball we will:

• Chest/shoulder/bounce pass the ball to a partner.

• Time a pass to a player at the right height and speed and in the right direction.

• Show with our hands where we want the ball and receive a variety of different passes and catch effectively.

• Identify needs and wants using examples from our own experience.

• Name two local organisations who provide for needs in the local community and describe what they do. 
  

• explore the Bible story of the Nativity, describing the beliefs Christians have about God and Jesus.

• discover how followers of another world religion, Judaism, demonstrate their beliefs through worship and special ceremonies - Sukkot and Hannukah.

• develop respect for the practices and traditions of others.  

• Listen to and join in with saying the days of the week in sequence through games, songs etc.

• Begin to develop correct pronunciation of sounds linked to days of the week.

• Begin to say and respond to the months in sequence.

We will:

• create artwork in response to seasons (e.g. leaf printing/collage, draw, paint, collage using seasonal colours)  and the religious celebrations Nativity, Sokkot and Hannukah.
