In the 21st Century bullies can now resort to the internet to anonymously slander a person (7). Due to the anonymity of the internet, many people who wouldn't have bullied before now do, and bullying can become more emotionally damaging, because people can write stuff without having to look at the target face to face.

My sister was bullied in elementary school, and she became very angry, fearful, frustrated and embarrassed. Due to the fact that she was in the same class as the student she could not attempt to evade the bully. In addition, instead of seeking an adult at the school she only discuss
ed the matter with my parents. Two things she should have done differently to improve her situation are act less fearful by having good posture (which the book recommends) and seeking help at the school. The school could have punished the other student or switched their classrooms to help alleviate the issue.
