As part of our Digital Twinning Project, preparatory students explored the number eight through a hands-on math activity.

Using animal toy models, students counted the legs to reach the target number. This playful approach supported counting skills, observation, and active learning.

We tried to learn numbers by accompanying rhythm music related to numbers with rhythm sticks.

Within the framework of the eTwinning project "We Can", we organized an interactive "Mini-Market" activity to develop early childhood financial literacy and basic math skills. During this role-playing activity, children were divided into shopkeepers and buyers, using handmade paper money to simulate real-life transactions. Through buying and selling, the pupils practiced counting, simple addition, and subtraction as they paid for items and calculated change. More importantly, the activity introduced them to essential financial concepts, such as budgeting, saving, and distinguishing between "needs" and "wants." This hands-on experience beautifully reflected the "We Can" philosophy, proving that young learners can confidently take responsibility, make independent decisions, and manage financial concepts through play.

In the next stage of the activity, students connected mathematical concepts with movements such as stepping forward, jumping, and keeping rhythm with the branches while singing simple children's songs. The use of natural materials increased students’ interest and helped them understand mathematical concepts in a more concrete and meaningful way.
