My name is Jamilah Hassan Basri. I am Senior Librarian from Perpustakaan Hamzah Sendut (PHS). I recently joined Reference and Research Division @PHS and started to  explore a new bundle of things and joyful experience related to teaching, learning and discovering a new knowledge and ideas.
Article searching is very important for the sake of obtaining the correct and reliable information related to your academic context or disciplines.Knowing the true platforms or websites are crucial in assessing information, so that we can become more self directed, use and examine the sources critically.

It has been a while for me using English for self-introduction, as well as recalling a tagline of learning and teaching. Well, deep in the memory, that was this book that first opened my way to L&T, Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. The moment I finished and closed the book, it was these lines that twinkling in mind, “Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding, find out what you already know, and you’ll see the way to fly… No limits… the race to learn had begun.” They just keep flashing for years. 22 years? Maybe.

Reading through the topics that would be shared in the workshop, some are like friends while some are like friends’ friends, which I wish to know them earlier and better. For old acquaintances, I wish to keep connected and updated, pick up where we last; For new comers, there must be another long journey to learn and love.

To be honest, I have pretty little knowledge on what I’m about to learn. 

But! That’s good as I know at the end of the workshop, I will be packed with lots of new knowledge.
