Medical skill in Middle Age were bad, you couldn't expect you will be cured. Medieval docters believe that illnesses were caused by an imbalance of the four humours in the human body which is :Blood, Yellow Bile, Black Bile and Phlegm.
Purging or blood-letting is a common way docter would use to make balance in the human body. Docter would also use leeches to suck out bad blood in the human body. There would be also herbal medicine that's made by herbalist. People also went to the Barber Surgeon, who was trained to fixing teeth, picking out ingrowing nails, and treating broken bones. Barber Surgeon also practice simple surgerys, but not good as a docter.

I'm not quite sure what are medieval docter are actually like, I'm not medieval. But we have evidence that can show us what are docter like. They're expensive and rare their techniques was not good, sometimes even couldn't help.

People would go to a pharmacy (chemist) to ask a herbalist to buy medicines . Herbalist is a person that use herbs to make medicine, not like a docter who does surgery,
they make medicine and gives it to who needs it

Wise Women is also a person who makes medicine, but her job is more simple than herbalist. She only need to take the natural herbs and pick out which the patient need, then her job is done.

Church is one place that people would go to when they're sick. Church in Medieval time is Sacred, there has monks who were trained in medicine at universities but not really useful, instead they believed in the power of praying.

Rich people like kings and nobles would have thier own docters. They will choose to go to hospitals and visit the docters. Hospital is part of
monasteries.

Poor people such as pleasants and servant would usally visit the Wise Women, she could give the people natural remedies such as herbal medicine. Pleasant won't be findind a docter or a Barber Surgeon because it's too expensive. They would just use herbs and praying to cure them.
