There is a few strong reasons why I like this quote. The first reason is because the groundskeeper Silas is actually a ghost. He is trying very hard to protect a child from the strange man jack that is out to kill this baby. Silas tricks the man into thinking that he only saw fox or some sort of small animal. Silas successfully get the killer out of the graveyard and assures him that there is no baby there.

Book Review From Book List

Gr. 6-10 /*Starred Review*/ While a highly motivated killer murders his family, a baby, ignorant of the horrific goings-on but bent on independence, pulls himself out of his crib and toddles out of the house and into the night. This is most unfortunate for the killer, since the baby was his prime target. Finding his way through the barred fence of an ancient graveyard , the baby is discovered by Mr. and Mrs. Owens, a stable and caring couple with no children of their own—and who just happen to be dead. After much debate with the graveyard's rather opinionated denizens, it is decided that the Owenses will take in the child. Under their care and the sponsorship of the mysterious Silas, the baby is named "Nobody" and raised among the dead to protect him from the killer, who relentlessly pursues him. This is an utterly captivating tale that is cleverly told through an entertaining cast of ghostly characters. There is plenty of darkness, but the novel's ultimate message is strong and life affirming. Although marketed to the younger YA set, this is a rich story with broad appeal and is highly recommended for teens of all ages. -- Koelling, Holly (Reviewed 09-15-2008) (Booklist, vol 105, number 2, p54)
http://web.a.ebscohost.com/novp/detail?vid=3&sid=701c68fd-2ce5-4429-875d-8be19f9658ed%40sessionmgr4010&bdata=JnNpdGU9bm92cC1saXZl#UI=286626&db=neh

I really agree when the book review said “There is plenty of darkness, but the novel's ultimate message is strong and life affirming”. The reason for this is because there is a strong dark element to the book when the killer Jack is going after this baby. Jack is trying many things to find this baby, he climbed over a fence in the middle of the night to attempt to kill the child and was ready to kill Slas if he needed to. However you do get some positive parts to it to. For example when the graveyard comes together to teach they boy.

This is a strong symbol because it describes the night that the man jack tried to kill the boy. The picture shows the man Jacks knife covered in the blood of the boy's family, it also shows the boy running away from the knife into the graveyard. The spirit represents his mother after she was killed, she went to the graveyard and bestowed her son upon the Owens family to take care of him.

Conflict
I chose conflict because when Bod the boy was in the grave yard he was told not to do many things. For example when Bod´s guardian Silas had to leave for a long period of time Silas had another ghost look after him. This ghost tot bod many good lessons about this that you can find in the grave yard like goblins, but she was very boring. So one day Bod deiced to disobey the ghost and go to the part of the grave yard that had goblins and when he walking through that part he came across a group of goblins. They told Bod about a place where there was only fun and no work and amazing food. Bod acted on his first thought and went with the goblins. Bod ended up hating it there and wanted to go home. Bod ended up having to use the stuff this ghost tot him about how to get rid of the goblins and made it safely back home.

This is a very importation symbol because it shows all the people in Bods life. It shows Silas Bods guardian protecting him like he did the first night bod entered the graveyard. The other ghost represent this ghost parents the Owen's they also took care of Bod. Over all this picture shows Bod family and the people who help take care of him
