For example humans cutting down trees. Humans cut down trees to make space for buildings, for paper, and wood. Cutting down these trees are detrimental to the wildlife around. It causes habitat fragmentation which means and animals habitat is being reduced to fragments. Cutting trees down also causes deforestation. A huge example of movement of tropical fruit. Obviously in Kansas, we live nowhere near oceans or anywhere tropical and yet we have tropical fruits like bananas and pineapples.  The pineapples you see and eat in the United States have been and are still imported from the West Indies and Bahama Islands. This is a form of movement because the pineapples are grown in those places and then moved, and enjoyed, in America/Kansas. Another example is bananas. Bananas originated and began to be developed in Africa about 650 AD. Bananas are now a very popular fruit in America/Kansas now, even though they came all the way from Africa. Like the MidWest is a part of North America (or the U.S.). Asia is the biggest continent in the world, but that doesn't mean everyone from there is exactly Asian. In Asia, there are other countries such as Iran, India, and Iraq. Those people wouldn't be identified as Asia, they would be identified as Middle Eastern. That is why it is called the Middle East. This helps us to compare two places on Earth. This theme of geography illustrates a clear image of a place in the person's head. It could be describing the mountains, rivers, and beaches. Also, the human characteristics of a place are the nature and size of the human population, the distinct human cultures, and their ways of life. An example could be school and you would describe it like, it would include walls, windows, gym, cafeteria, classrooms, clothing, books, and hallways.
