Yes and no because technology doesn’t rule everyone’s life. Some use it as a way of life, while others use it as a tool for a small portion of their lives

I think growing up in the age of technology has changed the way children think about themselves, whether for better or worse. Influencers causing young girls to wear makeup, podcasts feeding into negative male stereotypes, etc

Yes. They have the world at their fingertips, and it is harder to control what they are exposed to. They are also able to see what influencers are doing and want to be like them.

Yes! Children build a lot of relationships online which can widen their “social networks” but it can also weaken their face to face skills.

Absolutely - but the specifics of that influence are yet to be fully determined, since it is still so incredibly new (compared to our knowledge of child development in general). But our world is incredibly different than it was 20, 10, even 5 years ago in regards to tech, so I would imagine it must play a role in development now.

Yes it has...Children no longer play in nature, which has been proven to enhance cognition and agency in children.

I think it is crucial for parents to be tapped into social emotional learning and being a supportive caring person in their kids lives in order to offset the potential harmful ideals kids are being exposed to online
