We can thus infer that trade between China and Singapore was often, as the shards were probably brought to Singapore by Chinese traders. How the source supports the key point: This shows that Singapore had trading with China before 1819 in order to get the porcelain shards found in Fort Canning as the shards were made in China
Where the source is from

It is most probably related to political and cultural aspects. Javanese or Balinese diplomats may have given the a member of the royal family of Singapore/Temasek for diplomatic reasons. This shows that Indians were present and Indian culture arrived in Singapore/Temasek before or during the 14th Century.
Where this source is from ?

Singapore traded with Malaysia and China , and built relationship with many countries . And life was hard before this amazing and beautiful Lion City , and we needed resources and other countries to help us to build this country . without other countries we wouldn't come as far as we have came and we still need to built not just economic relationship but forge real relationship so that when we go through hard times in the future . we need to learn to appreciate the culture as Singapore has gone through many hard times and trading has been and will still be a big part of how Singapore is going to survive
