Chile(present): 8.72

Compare the Optimistic Corporation Value Scenario

Brazil: 9.48 (terminal growth rate: 1.20%)

Chile:10.78 (terminal growth rate: 1.15%)

Compare the Pessimistic Corporation Value Scenario

Brazil: 6.11 (terminal growth rate: 0.80%)

Chile: 6.50 (terminal growth rate: 0.80%)

They concluded that it is better to M&A with Chile. Because both positive and negative scenarios indicate that Chile is better

But, they noted that it is necessary to consider that Chile is more affected by pessimistic growth.

The final candidate country decision of the Team was revealed.
Cultural Aspects of both countries were clearly outlined: including, the difference between corporate cultures of Korea and two Latin American countries; as well as the political climate, and economic trends. (Specifics to be referred to the previous padlet.)
The rationale of choosing the ultimate decision, Chile, was first built upon the already presented cultural aspects, and then established further through a number of factors, including
1. Chile's Relation with the world, seen through organizational memberships
2. Communicational advantage of Chilean workers
3. Less Cultural Clash than Brazil's diversity
4. Korean-Chilean governmental Collaborations on economic development
5. "Brazil Cost" concept highlighting the Cost-Benefit analysis
The presentation ended with Hofstede's Cultural alignment focusing on the conclusion that Chile and Korea are culturally closer across the collective assessment of 4 indices: Power Distance, Individualism-Collectivism, Uncertainty Avoidance and Masculinity-Femininity.

Changes in Opinions

After the discussions, the Global Department requested approval of its PMI strategies, while stating that the integration strategies presented so far have solely been focused on cultural integration and not much on corporate value creation.

The two departments eventually came up with groundbreaking ideas to reform the PMI strategies to both stances' favour.
