I think rather than using the time to write the essay, we could have spent that time preparing for ethics etc.

I found the practice presentations to be a helpful learning process - would it be possible for this to replace the summative essay? Given that we do not have presentations in the second year, despite this being reflective of our clinical roles (e.g., delivering training/teaching), this would be helpful for learning. In addition, the LSD essay falls during ethics applications and ISO preparations. I would also say that the Trent course always pushes for us to graduate on time, but how do they think this is possible when we have to analyse our data and write a full thesis whilst having to deal with a million different assignments??!!
