I chose to construct a website for the following reasons:

o   It is an interactive platform, so kids can play around with it and get actively involved in their learning instead of just having it thrown at them and it all goes over their head. 

o   It would suit the target audience of children, as the inclusiveness of quizzes, pictures and videos would appeal to them a lot more than just tons of words. 

o   Kids are growing up with technology, so it would suit their expectations/way of learning. 

o   Displays different sections of information in an organised manner

o   Allows for collaboration between other work- can include links.

The use of a website helps the overall project as not only does it appeal to the target audience, but it supplies a platform that they can consistently check back in with. By updating the website and including the videos and pictures, the kids can continue to learn- it’s not just a one use only thing.

The website also acts as a good overall depiction of the project- it includes the articles, the social media, the graphics and so forth.

·      They are able to capture the attention of the target audience, especially when its well-designed.

·      Brochures are versatile, meaning it can be passed on from one person to another.

·      The cost will be less if they are bought in big amounts.

The cheapest option would be getting the brochures printed by a printing company.

How the articles/interviews help the project:

The project outcome will be on the website for everyone to see, which will continually be updated for continued learning. This is also where the articles will be found, which will add a further description of the day and what people’s opinions were. Through the interviews I will be able to find out what children or teachers knew before the project versus after it, which will give us an understanding of how successful the project was.
