Dear Students,

I have been getting emails asking me for the assessment.

Please note that ALL related information for the module are contained in the various sections on the Blackboard (left side) as well as in the various announcements.

Nevertheless, as it is the start of the academic year I will attempt to answer some queries:

Attendance is compulsory for all Seminars. Regardless in which Seminar one is presenting, attendance is needed in all Seminars as this is how the module runs and presences will be recorded

The module is assessed via two components: a) an assessed recorded presentation and b) a 10-page essay.

Therefore, each student needs submit 1 recorded presentation and 1 essay.

Assessed Recorded Presentation

The recorded presentation topics are listed in the relevant Google Doc, under the sections of the BlackBoard named as follows:

Assessment (LW3ENV-Environmental Law,

Google Doc Link for choosing topic for the Assessed Recorded Presentation

Assessment

The Google Doc is the same in all of the above sections. You can access it in any of those sections, see the available topics in the available Seminars and write down / insert your name and surname and student number. The deadline to choose topic is Monday 25.9.2023 at noon.

Assessed 10-page Essay

There is no list of topics to be released for the essay.

As stated in the syllabus and in the Blackboard sections with info on the assessment of the module, the 10-page essay topic is to be chosen by you.

You need to think of the topic, (so I propose that you do your basic research and define the research question to be answered (this is for your own use at first instance)) and send me the proposed topic by the deadline. The deadline is the day of Seminar 3, i.e., Thursday 26.10.2023 at noon.

I will then convene with the other module lecturers and approve of the topics. The topics will be confirmed and approved by the day of Seminar 4, i.e., by 16.11.2023 and after that you can start researching for the essay and writing it.
