Although cities were built primarily due to availability of resources such as rivers (ports, roads etc.) the key reason they were made were for people to transport goods, and increase accessibility of opportunity for people. In the past humans have created cities due to availability of resources, trade purposes and for opportunities for people. Many cities are better made for people than others. This is shown by Lisa and her family who moved to Stonefield. “You can step out onto the street and feel safe”. Whereas there are other cities which are largely operated by the large business in the area obstructing the human aspect of cities. This essay will discuss both sides of the argument, that cities are made for people, and that cities are not made for people.
