         <description><![CDATA[<div>If they can write (or speak) about what they did and how they did it, it will reinforce for them the steps to do when they are just working through a problem.  Allows the teacher to understand what the student knows and where breakdowns in the thought process may be occurring.  Multiple strategies allows the students to check work and check for reasonable answers...if they're willing to look at in from a different point of view.</div>]]></description>
