You can upload files to Padlet where they can be stored. Students can view in the document viewer without having to Download, or they can save or print documents as well. A Padlet could be used as a repository for document storage for student access as well as a place students could share materials with others in a course.

Feedback

Padlet would be a great tool to use with students to gain feedback and show others their work. Unlike Dropbox in D2L, all students would be able to access the work submitted to a Padlet wall. Other students could leave feedback in comments surrounding the uploaded document without anyone having to download or save a copy of the work.

Another Collaborative Option

As Padlet is much more informal that other collaborative work spaces like Google Docs, Padlet offers an efficient and streamlined space to share work and communicate with one another without having too many bells and whistles to distract from the collaboration.

For students and faculty alike, it can be needed to have a space to collect a wide variety of materials to have easy and fast access to anywhere. As long as you have an internet connection, you can access your materials from any computer or device.

Padlet is a web-based product without the need to install or maintain any kind of software. It can be used across different operating systems as well as mobile devices and phones

Padlet is a free collaborative resource. You can upgrade to their pro package, but you already get a lot of great uses from the free version. If you want a lot of Padlet walls, the upgrade may be worth it.

Students can post comments and feedback on topics or ideas in the class
Groups of students can brainstorm ideas and easily organize thoughts
You can use the classroom Padlet wall to post assignments, homework, or activities for students to complete
Bring together other multimedia, web links, or documents in one location for an entire class of students, group of faculty use, or personal use in the collection of information
Students can use Padlet as a portfolio for a class or program
Create walls specific for group work as either a collecting place for data or the finished product of a project
Have a Q&A Padlet for your class in Canvas to allow students to anonymously (or leave their name) post questions they may have about the course
Personal 1 to 1 reflection and interaction between the student and faculty member; a dialogue of feedback or ideas can be contained in one wall and looked at later for reference
Create lessons for students to follow and include interactive activities all in one location
Exit tickets from a class/end of a lesson answering a quick question to see where students are in their understanding
Students can ask questions throughout a class period on the Padlet wall and faculty can answer their questions at the end of class or save for the next class.

Getting the Padlet to students is quick and easy! If students are using a mobile device, they can use the QR code above and instantly have access to the Padlet wall. Otherwise, posting or e-mailing the code to a class of students is very efficient!
