The Peaky Blinders were a gang from Birmingham, England, active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They became famous for their violence, illegal betting, and smuggling. Their name comes from the idea that they sewed razor blades into their caps to use as weapons, though this is more of a legend than a fact.

During the period 1918-1939, Birmingham was full of crime, and the Peaky Blinders had many rivals. However, by the 1920s, their power had already started to decline, and another gang, the Birmingham Boys, took control.

The Peaky Blinders became more famous recently because of the TV series Peaky Blinders, which tells a fictionalized version of their story, focusing on Tommy Shelby, a smart and ambitious leader.

The Chicago Outfit is a criminal organization founded in Chicago, USA, in the early 20th century. It emerged after the death of mobster Big Jim Colosimo in 1920 and grew during Prohibition (1920-1933), when selling alcohol was illegal.

Its most famous leader was Al Capone, who turned the Chicago Outfit into a powerful crime empire. They controlled alcohol smuggling, illegal gambling, extortion, and murders. They used violence to eliminate rivals, like in the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre (1929), where they killed members of Bugs Moran’s gang.

After Al Capone, the organization remained active and expanded into drugs, casinos, and other illegal businesses. It still exists today, but with less power.
