Individuals/groups involved:
The United States and Britain were involved in the airlift and the Soviet Union was involved in the blockade portion. People included: President Truman and General Clay.
Significant features:
- stops refuges from traveling to west Berlin
- powerful symbol of divided Europe
- airlift was used to supply one side of Germany that was cut off from everything
- Soviets lifted blockade after the Americans would not stop supplying (no point)
Whether or not it was a NATO/Warsaw Pact issue:
- NATO because the United States came into help.
Whether or not it was connected to the Containment theory:
- yes because the United States was trying to stop the spread of communism.
Was it a victory for Capitalism or Communism:
-yes, the United States "won".

- NATO because the United States came in to help the struggling West.

- Yes, the US came into help to ensure that West Berlin was not entrapped  by the Communism around them.

- Not either really, but the Soviets eventually gave up about a year later and took the wall down. (so Capitalism)
