The second step is to do research. The third step is to form a hypothesis. The fourth step is to do experiments and the fifth is to gather information. The sixth and final step is to give a conclusion.</div>]]></description>

My thinking about Science changed when I watched the video "Science in America" the speaker in the video explained Science in a way that was interesting and I could understand.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The scientific method has steps that help you answer a question. You can use these steps to help you think critically and that's how the scientific method and scientific inquiry relate to each other. Inquiry-based learning lets you solve problems while better understanding what you are learning. The student will learn with scientific inquiry and think critically with questions.&nbsp;This method will help the student remember what they are being taught instead of just remembering facts and later forgetting what they learned. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I studied the scientific method before I took NS 100 but didn't really grasp the concept before this class. I never used scientific inquiry before this class. The article" What is Inquiry-Based Science?" it said inquiry-based science adopts an investigative approach to teaching and learning where students are provided with opportunities to investigate a problem (What is Inquiry-Based Science?, 2022).&nbsp; I was taught to remember what I was studying and not think critically. I am starting to think critically after taking this class. I did not enjoy science before this class but I find it interesting and enjoy learning. I will continue to grow by thinking critically in all my classes and asking questions instead of just remembering.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>All living things on Earth share the same characteristics. The first characteristic we share is metabolism. This is where we take energy from the outside to maintain ourselves. The second is homeostasis where living things try to balance conditions inside and outside themselves to survive. The third characteristic is living things can make copies of themselves through reproduction. The fourth is over time the information in molecules changes so that later generations may be slightly different. For something to be alive, it needs to have all these characteristics and be on Earth. </div>]]></description>

My thinking has changed when I look at living things. I pay more attention to things in nature. I look at the changes occurring right before my eyes. I will continue to grow by keep observing and questioning things when I see they are different in my environment. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> Before taking NS 100 I had some experience in the classroom and was able to help students. I believe my skills have improved since taking NS 100. The Science Assignment Analysis and Scientific Inquiry Observation helped me improve my teaching skills. I was able to observe a teacher and think critically to answer the questions on my assignments. I was able to ask questions that went along with the lesson I was working on. I will continue to grow by learning as much as I can and observing other teachers. I need to remember the skills I am learning and apply them to my apprenticeship. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before NS 100 my scientific perspective was limited. I did not look at things in different ways to see how they could change. My thinking has changed by learning. In module one we learned about the Scientific Method and Scientific Inquiry. This helped me to start thinking critically. In module two we learned how things adapt to the environment to survive. We can see these changes in nature if we stop and look at things from a different perspective.  I will continue to grow by using the skills I learned and try to challenge myself to examine things better and ask questions. </div>]]></description>
