         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Ward Charcoal Ovens were built around 1876 to provide charcoal for two silver mines in Ward, NV.  After a few years, the ovens were abandoned then used by stagecoach bandits and shelter for prospectors and stockmen.  Ely is 20 miles from the ovens.<br><br></div>]]></description>

It was honored by Govenor Brian Sandoval as the "oldest continuously family-owned and operated restaurant in Reno, and possibly in the entire state." &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Was a haven for prostitutes until the 1920s when citizens were trying to drive the prostitutes out.&nbsp; Lights were added showcasing all of the entrances to casinos and clubs.&nbsp; Most of it is gone except a small area today.</div>]]></description>
