Describe your Artwork- 

I was going for a visualization of music

Idea & Processes: A person listening to music is shown

Synthesis & Materials: I began my final by sketching out the layout of everything. Then I moved on to using watercolor on the paper. I used watercolor because the softness and comfort that comes with music is well translated with the softness of watercolors. Then I used a marker for the music notes to finish off the piece.

Artists throughout history have incorporated bones/skulls in their work to display a "memento mori", a Latin phrase that means "remember you must die". It's a symbolic or artistic trope that serves as a reminder of the inevitability of death. This mortal reminder can remind your viewers as to why they should care about your topic now, before it's too late.
