In year 5, our goal is to raise £500 for Water aid. This could renovate a toilet, install 3 wells or install nearly 14 hand washing stations in schools. We would love to meet (or beat!) our goal - can you help?

Did you know that climate change is making yearly cyclones more frequent and intense? With an increase in flooding events happening over the year, Bangladesh faces more devastating impacts in years to come.

Bangladesh is a country in southern Asia. This country is the most flooded country in the world. This is because most of the land is beneath the sea level and it is where 3 major rivers systems meet the indian ocean. The people, many of whom are really poor, get impacted by this every year. We want to make a difference!

Year 5 Charity Week

In the week beginning the 15th June, look out for our Y5 charity ambassadors shaking buckets, selling cakes and preparing for the Y5 fair on Thursday 18th May.

Key dates:

Monday 15th July - look out for charity buckets at sports day.

Tuesday 16th/Wednesday 17th - bring your change to school and get some delicious bake sale treats and books at the book sale.

Thursday 18th - Wear blue (whole school) -donate some money and come to school in blue to raise awareness of Water Aid.

Thursday 18th - after school - Year 5 WaterAid fair.
