It is composed of two basic structures called the penis and scrotum, which are located around the pelvic girdle and mostly outside of the body in mammals. Scrotum covers the testes, and that is where the production of semen and sperms takes place. Scrotum is usually located outside in most of the mammals, but elephants have those inside their body. The location of the testes is determined depending on the temperature of the body, because sperm production takes place at a relatively cool environment.

Female reproductive system is the most wanted body system for the males, because that is the place where males deposit their sperms for fertilization to take place. The system is mainly composed of female gonads known as ovaries and uterus. The two ovaries are connected to the uterus through Fallopian tubes while the uterus opens to the exterior via cervix and vagina.

The function of this organ is to Recieve the sperms from male reproductive system, Bear the developing fetus through  entire period  of gestation.
