Blog Report #7: media-based artifact (Hispanic-Latino Educator Information Community) by Kaitlyn Hernandez

Pew Research found that there was a significant disconnect between the use of public briefings and people's knowledge of the facilities and technology they provide (https://www.pewresearch.org/). With the turning point on online and digital resources in 2020 (pandemic-era education), I thought it would be appropriate to share a digital "water cooler" for students and educators alike. Unlike a traditional infographic, this media-based artifact is reflective of ever-changing trends in education and follows the fast-paced, formatted idea-sharing typical in an information community.

Try working directly with families and learning how they teach and instruct on rules and regulations within the home.

Hi community, I've been really struggling with better understanding my responsibilities as a teacher. Where do my responsibilities lie as a Hispanic educator? I feel like there’s a lot of pressure to be a good role model, but being a good role model and support for students isn’t exactly the same as being a teacher. Right? I’d love to hear the community’s opinion or perspective on this.
