I teach digital citizenship at the beginning of the year, and I teach students to not plagiarize, etc. however I do not feel that I am always doing an effective job at teaching those concepts. Additionally, there are other concepts dealing with citizenship that I am overlooking completely. For example, when doing research I ask students to cite their sources, use quotations when taking direct quotes, and to write in their own words when not taking direct quotes, however I don't do a great job of enforcing this, which leads to students not always following those guidelines.
