The video goes into great lengths to describe each step in the process starting with the roots absorbing water from the soil, all the way until the end where plants absorb glucose to help them grow. Another reason I decided to use this video is because of the very insightful summary at the end. The tundra is already a very challenging biome, I believe that global warming and higher temperatures will begin to lessen snow cover. That, in turn, will decrease the sunlight reflected back into the atmosphere and increase warming. About half the areas will see vegetation change, and areas currently populated by shrubs may find woody trees taking their place.
