By Whom? A Persian prophet named Zoroaster.

Began in Persia and spread slowly, declining and growing under different circumstances, groups of people carrying it around , to neighboring empires.

-The earth is a battle ground for evil and good , every person is involved in this battle of good and evil.

-What ever you do on earth is affecting the battle , leaving you for judgement when you die for access to heaven

-There is one mighty god , Ahura Mazada , that is good. He is our savior and he will judge us in the after life

-There is evil on earth , the lie

-There is three eras for earth,

The era of its creation , the era of when evil and good are mixed, and the era of when good and evil are seperated

-By explaining why there so much evil on the earth , and how its a battle ground

-And "supposedly" when you die , you get judged by the one god , Ahura Mazda, at the bridge of judgement

-if you pass you cross into a land were no one has no pains , or bad vibes (heaven?)

-if you don't you get sent down to a land of eternal pain caused by Ahirman (underworld?)

-Became the main religion in Persian empire, forcing many to follow Zoroastrianism.

-After that it spread (not much), most times as a different name or mixed with another religion

-It eventually died out cause of prosecution in that area if you were that religion, moving to the west (America) and there are very few Zoroastrians left.

Navjote is the initiation ceremony for which a Parsi Child turns Zoroastrian. THis happens when a child turns the age of seven. Navjote mean " One who offers prayers ". The Navjote ritual is the same as the Confirmation ceremony for Christians.
