You must have a cogent story. It should have a beginning, a middle, an end.

Beginning:

It started on a crisp breeze morning at my elementary school, I was in kindergarten and my sister was in 3rd grade, our mom just had dropped us off at the before-school care through the YMCA, and it was like any other morning I got my breakfast and I got to play with the toys and do the everyday things I was used to doing. and one of those things was getting asked by my older sister to go outside on the playground, and like any other 5 year old I was I said yes.

Middle:

Now I have always looked up to my sister and at the time in my 5-year-old brain, I had the only thing I wanted to be better at was the monkey bars, so on this particular day we went outside everything was good and we were having fun that was until I saw my sister do this extravagant jump, and my 5-year-old brian was like oh yeah I'm doing that too, So I looked at my sister and I said "watch me do this" with my palms sweating and me knowing I can't do this as she did it. The next thing I know I'm slowly flying through the air when all of a sudden I feel a huge bang on my forehead. I stand up and look at my sister and teacher and just see a waterfall of blood pouring out.

End:

the next thing I know I am being rushed down to the nurse's office the kids are in the hall moving out my way like I'm some crazy kid who just looked like she bathed in blood. I finally got to the nurse's office which was a few feet down the hall but felt like a journey to get there, and she looked at me like she had just seen Jesus walk on water, she sat me down in a wheelchair and called my teacher and parents, at this point my 5-year-old brain has been sloshed in my head and I still have no idea what's going on. after about 10 minutes I saw my dad walk in and I got picked up and taken to the hospital, where the doctor finally asked me "Well what happened" That's when I blurted out "I ran into a poll" The look on this doctors face was like he had just been told the world funniest joke, he laughed. after that, he switched me up with 15 stitches and sent me on my way.

this marks a pivotal moment in my life because it makes me think about not being like others and just because one person can do something doesn't mean I can too, it was one of the biggest injuries I've had and knowing the pain I was in I am more aware of what i can personally dude and not dude
