The song doesn’t have a music video yet, so that makes it a bit difficult for me. But, I love challenges! My ideas for the song is to do a person walking into the dark, and includes wide shots of the person doing activities on his or her own, as the songs lyrics are about a person being alone and the activities they do being alone. I didn’t want a fast tempo, and don’t want it too slow, because I personally find slow music videos boring, unless the lyrics have deep contextual meaning to explore. Additionally, this song’s music video appeals to me as well, as it’s so simple in its construction, yet it is really good. However, as the song is about love, it would require a two person cast, which I’m not to keen on doing. I don’t want to do something too abstract or unorthodox with this song, as love songs and love music videos follow a very cliché narrative and they feel meagre to execute. Even though this song has a slow tempo, it’s deep meaning will inspire me for more cutaways and footage, which fixes the idea of execution. This song does have a music video, and that helps me visualize some sort of an idea for the video. It can also be filmed with only one person, making it more practical to shoot. The reason I chose this song is because it doesn’t have a very popular music video, which is why it makes it not a very overused and overheard song. This song has a very deep meaning attached to it: talking about chaos and massacre over the world. My idea for this video will be a person going into a room, and all around they will see different world tragedies like poverty and war pictures. There will be pictures on the walls, ground and tables etc. of the set, just like how my credits were for my thriller opening. I will make sure to get the lighting right this time!
